The outer hall
The eclipse and the outer hall are public. MAGIC is a ceremonial word, not a password. It reveals the names of the doors, but it grants no access to the writing, music, photographs, films, or other material behind them.
Plain-language trust note
These are the boundaries this launch can truthfully keep for the public hall, sealed reader doors, and private conversation rooms.
The eclipse and the outer hall are public. MAGIC is a ceremonial word, not a password. It reveals the names of the doors, but it grants no access to the writing, music, photographs, films, or other material behind them.
Each private door has its own invitation code and secure browser session. A code for one door does not open another. Codes can expire or be revoked, and closing a door’s sessions takes effect on the next request. Unless a door is explicitly marked public, direct links stay sealed too.
The red owner ceremony does not grant editing power. Editing requires Magic’s separately authenticated and allowlisted account. A visitor code—whether shared or guessed—never becomes owner access.
Private conversation rooms are invitation-only for this launch. A room is restricted by a shared code and a secure browser session. It is not end-to-end encrypted, and the service stores messages so both people can return to the conversation.
You do not need an account, phone number, email address, or social profile to see the hall or use a reader invitation. If you are invited into a conversation room, the name you use can be a first name, nickname, or “Guest.”
Raw door codes and raw browser-session tokens are not stored in the database. Non-reversible verification values, invitation labels, access events, expiration and revocation state, and short-lived anti-abuse counters are stored so the seals can work. Conversation-room messages and authorized voice notes are stored with their room.
A recording remains on your device until you preview it and press send. Sent audio is kept in private object storage and is served only after the room session is checked.
Codes and sessions can expire or be revoked, and Magic can close a room. Closing blocks access but does not automatically erase stored messages or voice notes. They remain until Magic manually deletes the room data. An invited guest can request deletion through the same contact that sent the invitation or inside the room before it closes.
This is access-controlled sharing, not end-to-end encryption. A person who can read a door can still photograph, copy, or forward what they see, and the hosting service necessarily processes the material to deliver it. Invitation codes should be shared only with people you trust.
Emergencies, passwords, financial details, medical records, illegal content, threats, or anything requiring guaranteed confidentiality. Contact emergency services through an appropriate channel when safety is at risk.
Good privacy is not a slogan. It is a boundary the product keeps proving.
